3 Ways to Improve Sensitive Skin with Home Care

If you keep these 3 things before going to the dermatologist, it will be noticeable that your sensitive skin will recover.

First, increase the number of days you don't wear makeup during the week.

The makeup products we use, that is, cosmetics with covering power, basically contain 'Iron Oxide' to make it similar to the skin color, and also contain 'Zinc Oxide' and 'Titanium Dioxide', which are UV-blocking ingredients, and it also contains waterproof ingredients such as 'Wax' or 'Silicone Oil' as well as the ingredients for makeup adhesion

Makeup ingredients applied to the skin for an average of 12 hours a day irritate the skin, resulting in dermatitis and clogged pores.

And if you put on makeup, you have to double cleanse when you get home.

I have been emphasizing double cleansing through cleansing oil.

(Refer to the previous posts)

But what happens if you use cleansing oil over and over again?

The skin barrier may be damaged. why? Lipids in the stratum corneum of our skin weaken -> Weakening of the barrier -> Dry skin, and easy penetration of external irritants -> Skin inflammation -> Red skin, Pigmentation, etc.

(For reference, MAXCLINIC Oil Foams can be used at once as a foam after cleansing oil when applying makeup.

When cleansing oil is not needed, it can be used as a foam right away by lathering with wet hands.)

In fact, if you spend only one month with less makeup, you will experience a clinical experience that your sensitive skin is greatly improved.

Second, let's make at least one day in the week when we don't apply sunscreen.

I have emphasized that sunscreen should be applied indoors as well.

However, it is no exaggeration to say that sunscreens these days are not actual sunscreens but makeup products.

Most sunscreens these days are mostly inorganic ingredients that physically block the skin by forming a film on the skin.

In fact, if it is made of only inorganic ingredients, 'White cast' appears severely, like a person wearing white Kabuki makeup.

If you think about sunscreens 10 to 20 years ago, there were many sunscreens with a severe white cast, but these days it has become difficult to find.

If it came out that way these days, the product wouldn't sell.

Therefore, 'Iron Oxide' of various colors is included and made naturally close to the skin color.

In other words, even sunscreen often contains make-up ingredients such as base and foundation, so when you actually wash your face and check the skin surface, it is common to see that small particles are retained, especially in the pores.

That's why people with really sensitive skin are told to make at least one day a week when they don't apply sunscreen or makeup products to their skin.

The skin is really amazing. If you do not stimulate the skin and moisturize it well, the damaged skin will recover on its own to some extent.

If you look closely at the lifestyle of people with sensitive skin, they often do things that irritate their skin.

Third, stop using toner when your skin is sensitive

If your skin is sensitive and your skin barrier is damaged, the first basic cosmetics you should stop is toner. Of course, there are things like retinol products that are more irritating than that, but among the most basic skincare cosmetics, toner should be left out.

The main purpose of a toner is to slightly acidify the skin and remove waste, and you can think of it as having a role in the moisturizing step.

That is, the functionality is duplicated.

Remember that reducing the number of cosmetics you use at once and applying one or two smart moisturizers often is good for your skin health.
